Unpopular Opinion Pt. 1

Hey.

It's only been day two of school break and we're dealing with a few issues one after another which doesn't come in handy. Way out of control for the whole day, I presumed that was the accurate way to describe the whole incident. Well, I just started my new job not long ago and already been acknowledged about a student who needs special attention and extra care. Not so close to telling that the student is having dyslexia or autism. I would say this student is showing symptoms of ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). ADHD is a neurological condition defined by a consistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactive impulsivity that interferes with daily functioning in at least two settings. Obviously, I am no expert in this field but based on my reading and having a month spent with this student, I am definitely will be giving the same answer.

Well, I am proud to say that my student is able to understand the instructions given just like others and will ensure to do the task as being told. Therefore, we don't experience any difficulties with this special student. However, from time to time we can see the changes in which the kid started to get even more naughty. Most probably due to the excitement and joy that this kid embraced over time. The student copied whatever the other kids used to do and things get worst. From teasing the classmates by spilling the water, biting arms, and even made one's nose bled. Worse comes to worst when the parent started to blast texts in a parents group. We got two parents from two students who make things bigger. Somehow, the parent of this so-called ADHD kid decided to do refer to the specialist and still not going to school.

Apart from that, this kid does having a difficulty of penmanship. I can relate to dysgraphia. Why? He can hold the pencil and all he did was just doodling small circles all over the paper and even on the words. When you instructed or showed him to draw a line to match the pictures, he cannot do. If I helped him draw a line or trace the letter, he will eventually erase them and started to doodle all over again. During the reading session, I will need to cover all the unnecessary letter on the page and show only one letter. Yet, it still a struggle to make him focus on the lesson at one time. Not to include at times when he slacking to go back and forth to the toilet, drink water and sharpen the pencil. It turned out to be out of control.
